Album Notes

The Soundtrack to your night - from the haunting beauty of solo Native American flute, to gentle piano melodies and lush synthetic soundscapes, the perfect accompaniment to an evening stroll, reading, relaxation, massage, yoga or any quiet time. \"In music there are no boundaries, only worlds to be discovered. I’ve been a dreamer all my life”. Born in Nairobi, Kenya and adopted into a diplomatic service family, ethno-ambient composer Kieran Shannon traveled extensively as a child living in many different countries; East Africa, Taiwan, Brasil, Haiti, West Africa, He was surrounded by many different cultures as a boy. These experiences enriched his life tremendously and had a lasting impact on his musical interests. While attending the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan as a film major, he composed soundtracks for student films and found he was drawn more to the interaction of film and music than to the creation of the film itself. He decided to pursue a \"visual approach\" to music. Kieran is a multi-instrumentalist, focusing mainly on piano and ethnic flutes. Similar artists include John Serrie, Deuter & Coyote Oldman.
