Album Notes

Killen's debut release "Speak No Evil" is destined to be one of the most bad ass CDs of the year. It KICKS ASS! Filled with non-stop shredding guitars and heavy ass bass and drums, the disc is guaranteed to rip your face off! The power burned into this CD is difficult to find this side of the Atlantic, and indeed a rare commodity anywhere in the entire fucking world!

Killen is based out of Los Angeles, CA, with Ed McCrary on guitar, Ben Cook on bass, and former Bitch band members Dave Carruth on guitar and Robby Settles on drums. They have shared the stage with such artists as Metallica, Kiss, Slayer, and Dio as well as working with top engineers and producers in the Los Angeles area. Having recorded numerous albums and hundreds of songs individually these guys finally grouped together to record their long anticipated debut CD "Speak No Evil".

So crank it up and discover what so many porn stars already know...Killen delivers the goods!

Speak No Evil

The whole album and overall music is very tight. Fantastic riffs, great solos, superb bass and precise drums make this album really come alive. The quality of the production reminds me of Rush, the guitar and music reminds me of Metallica (pre \"Load\" era). Bleeding and Screaming is my favorite track currently. I do feel that if the band had lyrics, they would be phenominal and a new leader taking Metallica\'s place in the rock world....

Almost perfection

This is the way Heavy Metal should be, I love Instrumental Metal and this is executed to near perfection, sure there is times that you'd love to imagine a vocalist in among the musicial mayhem but as they say "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and some song titles are a little strange but that's the joy of the CD being an instrumental you can get away with that, Can you imagine Jon Oliva singing a song called "Belly Cream" ? haha. Killen have produced an excellant album in "Speak no Evil", this is a realk keeper, and I for one am looking forward to more from this Band. This a Great Christmas present for any Heavy/Tradional Metal fan so put it in their stocking !.

Being a guitarist, the first thing I noticed was the awesome guitar tone (just check out the opening riff of "Pig Dog"), but the whole CD sounds incredible! All the songs are amazing, and the Scorpions tune was an especially nice touch. Keep up the great work, guys. I'll be first in line for the next one!

Loved the CD!

Stylings and musicianship were very unique and refreshing for the genre. Being a 54 year old axeman myself, I especially noticed the guitar work which was on the money. Very impressive! I am very pleased to see the direction artists such as yourselves have taken. Your music has substance and quality that most 'shredders' etc. lack in  production and imagination. I Can't wait for the next CD. Don't change a thing.
