Solid collection of period music for the Civil war buff

Civil war scholars and those interested in military music of the past have much to enjoy in this new collection. Band music and bagpipes made the 79th New York a unique regiment and this CD captures the zeitgeist of its experience. The CD booklet is also packed with information and archive photographs. There isn't another release like this and it deserves a wide audience.
