The official 'Life Soundtrack' band!
author: Duane Schaffer
I heard Supergloo from Catastrophic Behavior on Flashback Alternatives and did a search for The Kimberly Trip. Started listening to samples from this, their first studio album and was hooked. Wonder, Eggshells, etc. all fantastic songs. I immediately placed an order for all 4 of their albums without listening to the rest and started to count the days 'till they arrived. When they arrived, this was the first CD I listened to. Not a bad song on the disc. How can I spread the word about this amazing band and Kimberlina's voice? I thought this was my favorite of their albums but in the end, I am hard pressed to pick a favorite. Top notch writing, vocals and production. I can listen to this disc and all their others straight through and turn right around and do it again. You need this disc in your collection if you like good music but you cannot buy this one without the other 3!

Sounds like Garbage and Blondie had a baby

The songwriting is superb. Unpredictable and yet very catchy with some of the most beautiful female vocals and majestic guitars I've heard from an unsigned band. Trip-hop grooves and bright production keep them sounding fresh. They seem at their best when their tongues are firmly planted in their cheeks with songs like "Not Your Biggest Fan" and their ode to summer "The Heat".

Their diverse sound and ability to poke fun at things we all should take lightly positions them in a unique place in the music industry....Look out Barenaked Ladies, here comes The Kimberly Trip.

The world needs more of this
author: Patrick Peters
In a world where bands with major recording label contracts are formulaic and predictable, and where every radio station in any market plays all the same stuff by those bands that all sound the same, we need more Kimberly Trip. Fresh, relevant song concepts, musicians with real musical talent, and strong, rich vocals that make any sound man worth his salt want to turn the mic's UP, not DOWN; visually entertaining and full of great energy live.
All the major record labels need to get their heads out of their behinds and pay attention to The Kimberly Trip: real rock and roll from real musicians who care about the music they're creating. The CD would be a bargain at twice the price.
Turn the SUCK knob down and get yours today!
