Simply Wonderful!

Since I live in Southern California, I may never have the chance to see The Kimberly Trip perform live, especially in an intimate acoustic performance such as this. For this wonderful concert, they selected a collection of their most tender & emotional songs that showcase Kimberlina's exquisite vocals and the excellent song writing. The arrangements & musicianship of the band is as skillful as with their plugged-in work. Most of the songs are already favorites of mine(especially "Supergloo", "Anything But You" & "The Pretty Girls") but the lovely "Make Me Believe" was a delightful surprise to me. If "The Trip" ever records another live album, I do hope they will include the haunting "Snowflake" next time. The band's core of fans will love this album but so will anyone who appreciates modern acoustic music. Buy it!

I never realized she was the greatest singer on Earth...

I'm a fan of this band. I absolutely LOVE their 2 studio albums, and was very excited when they had a new disc out (especially since the ink isn't even dry on the last one)! My excitement turned to horror when I saw it was one of those crappy, unplugged discs - bands milking every song by playing on acoustic guitars, singing off-key and selling it as something new. I decided to listen anyway, and I cannot express the delight in hearing these versions of their songs! They really have gone above and beyond any expectaion of what a live, acoustic CD can be! If you have never heard this band before, you could buy this CD and have a favorite post-Counting Crows, acoustic orientated rock act without ever knowing the techno-punk, new-wave background of their studio albums. Everything from the complex acoustic guitar arrangements headed by the modern-day guitar-hero, Jeffry Wynne Prince and augmented by the texture-driven Misha, to the muti-instrumentalist role of Bractune, to the ever steady, rock solid bassmanship of Sierra gels to form a tapestry of sound behind the glorious, effect-free Kimberlina, who radiates above the music and seems to float on an ambient cloud with transcendent notes that I didn't know she could actually hit. I've read many reviews from their hometown which have sung the praises of her voice, and while I have enjoyed it, I never realized she was the greatest singer on Earth until I bought this disc. 'Supergloo' should be the song to launch this band from underground phenomenon to superstar status. I HIGHLY endorse this album!!
