K.I.M. stand for "Kingdom Inspired Ministry." I use it sometimes. A good friend of mine gave me the name. It works!
"Songs to Live By" is the first project on which I did most of the writing, arranging, and producing. It contains 5 tracks. Not many by today's standards. All I can tell you is that I felt the Holy Spirit say that it's time for me to release them. So I did.
I'm stepping out on faith and loving it! This is a new season for me to record what I'm hearing and feeling from the Spirit instead of trying to sound like others. I'm beginning to understand more of what the Lord has for me concerning my worshipping Him in music.
"Adonai", "Welcome to Worship", and "The Source of Life" were birthed out of this revelation.
"ADONAI" is simply rock! I love it. Not my typical style, but because my vocals are strong, it works. Others tell me they love it, because it's different, fresh. I'm a black girl singing Christian rock. Oh yeah! (By the way, "Adonai" means "the Lord" in Hebrew.)
"Welcome to Worship" is a song inviting you, no matter who you are, to worship Jesus (Yeshua), your Creator. On this song, I did the rap as well. I think that I'll be doing more rap on future songs, either myself or someone else. Rappin' for the Creator is a good thing. Any form in which the Word of God can be expressed is good. His Word will accomplish what He purposes.
"The Source of Life" is another of my favorites. I used Arabian break tracks,, a type of "world" music. I added a pounding base drume with simple keyboard, baseline, and horn licks. All things were created by, through, and for Christ who is the Source of Life. When people hear this song, they feel the source of life in them. You will, too! Don't be afraid. Get up and dance before the Lord!
"I Will Obey (Anthem of the Body of Christ)" is another of my favorites. This song was co-written and produced by Steve "Keyz" Ebhodaghe. It also features Joshua Patini on bass and Solomon Ekwukoma on drums. The body of Christ is a holy nation. Every nation has anthem. This is ours. Jesus said that if we love Him, we will obey Him. "Obey" meaning to guard and keep His word like a gardener takes care of a garden. Taking care of my Father's business!
"Resurrection Life" was co-written and produced by Steve Keyz, features recording artists Kwame North on rap and Angela Bryant-Brown on background vocals.
I hope that you find these songs to be Songs That You Can Live By!
Thanks for listening and for purchasing these tracks.
