This "Oh Happy Day" version is an electrifying upbeat version of the Edwin Hawkins classic and is guaranteed to lift your spirit and move your soul. It features the keyboard artistry of Kim Jordan and also includes world renown musicians; Mark Walker on Bass, Mark Prince on Drums, Stanley Cooper on Guitar, Vanessa Williams and Kenny Wesley on Vocals, and Marcus Young's drum programing.
This is the first single from the soon to be released CD Project "Uncommon" from Prosounity Music Label Recording Artist Kim Jordan.

Kim is an extraordinarily gifted artist, producer, composer arranger, keyboardist, vocal coach and engineer. She has over 30 years in the music industry. Upon graduating with a BA in Music from Howard University, Kim was picked up by poet and jazz legend Gil Scott Heron, receiving international acclaim for her live performance from such publications as The London Guardian, The San Francisco Examiner, The Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post, The Dallas Morning News, and Billboard Magazine.

Kim is a trailblazer for the musical genre “Gospel Jazz.” As the first signed artist with the Washington, D.C.- based record label, ‘ProSounity Music Entertainment’; she has released two CD projects “All For You” and “Full Circle.”

Her phenomenal career to date includes work on Broadway with Taj Mahal in the Zora Neale Hurston’s production, “MULE BONE,” where she assisted Taj Mahal in recording the “MULE BONE” soundtrack. She has performed with such notable artists as Roberta Flack, Stevie Wonder, Terri Lynn Carrington, Vanessa Williams, and Meshell Ndegeocello. Her Jazz performances have included the “Jackie Robinson Jazz Festival”; NYC’s “Seaport Jazz Concert Series; The Congressional Black Caucus’ Salute to Women in Jazz; “Women in Jazz Series,” Kennedy Center/D.C.; The Black Academy of Arts and Letters, Theater in Dallas TX; The Detroit Opera House; Syracuse Jazz Festival; New Orleans Jazz Festival and many others. She scored the music soundtrack for the Showtime (Young Black Filmmakers) cable network movie “RAIN” and has composed TV themes and commercials for many organizations and religious institutions. She has also worked as musical director, composer, producer, arranger and/or vocal coach for a number of Platinum and Grammy Award-winning artist and labels, including Pure Soul and Mya on Interscope Records, Dru hill on Island Black Music, Terri Dexter on Warner Brothers Records, Gil Scott Heron on XL Records, as well as many other notable recording artist.

She has received numerous awards including the prestigious ASCAP Music Award for composing and producing one of the top ten songs on the Billboard charts, “We Must Be In Love,” recorded by the group Pure Soul. She has also received the Urban Gospel Alliance and Urban Gospel Industry Music Awards for Female Artist and Producer of the Year in the Gospel-Jazz category.
