ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Welcome to the Kim Joseph Michael’s Group. Before making this recording, we discussed how we wanted to represent our music and engage the listener. Our desire was to produce more of a ‘live-performance’ quality recording rather than a compressed, multi-tracked, overdubbed studio album. We believe the end result conveys a vibrant, in-person soundstage.

With those concepts in mind, we chose tunes from several different musical styles and laid down these tunes live in the studio over the course of two days; many were completed in one take.

Writing music is pure expression, allowing one to communicate feelings and ideas in a way that no language or other medium can accomplish. Everything one hears on this recording is a true collaboration by three close friends who are bonded by the gift of music. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it.
