Kim Moskowitz, Cantorial soloist, songwriter and music educator has brought us an inspiring and uplifting expression of her soul with these 13 innovative arrangements of popular classics and delightful original compositions in Hebrew, English, Yiddish and Ladino that are sure to rejuvenate the spirit. This heartwarming music is contemporary, vibrant and adaptive yet stands upon a firm foundation of shared religious and Jewish communal experiences through the ages from around the world.
It is likely that Kim learned to sing before she could talk, began to play guitar at 12 and loved them both. Her father grew up on the Yiddish stage and shared his repertoire and passion for singing throughout her childhood years. Kim began to song lead as a young girl and became involved in performing and teaching Jewish music throughout the country some 16 years ago. Her music has contributed strongly to setting herself, her family and extended communities on a continual path of spiritual growth and learning. Kim\'s personal love affair with Jewish music deepens with each passing year along with the passion and respect she has for Judeo based values as a way of life. The awesome power of a melody to link the generations, touch the depths of the soul and evoke a memory that moves its listener to connect with their own essence as well as the amazing people she has met on this journey will forever keep her singing.
Kim worked for nine years as the Judaic Music Educator and Cantorial Soloist at Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks, California where she found much success teaching and performing Jewish music as well as creating and participating in innovative and inspirational Judaic programming. She also served as a part time Cantor for Congregation B\'nai Chaim in Murrietta, California and has performed cantorial duties for camps and congregations throughout the country.
Kim now lives in Bellingham, Washington with her wonderful husband of 30 years. Together they have brought three beautiful children into this world.
