When Kim's Fable takes the stage, lead singer Kim Collins surrounds herself with glowing candles and an intricate Oriental rug. But don't expect a night of relaxation. Blending the rock of Led Zeppelin with lush melodies on cello and violin, the band puts on a captivating, moody and intense live show. Intelligent, impassioned lyrics weave through an ethereal swirl of Middle Eastern-influenced rock. Kim's vocals alternate between a delicate flutter and a soul-wrenching cry; coupled with her five-piece band, Kim¹s Fable is a powerhouse that leaves the listener nothing less than mesmerized.

The band's debut album, Breathless, was released in December 2000. Leader Kim Collins describes Breathless more as a "compilation" than a "first record" representing her recordings over the last six years.

Despite Kim's intentions for this album to be a just a compilation of her work, she has been pleasantly surprised as to the strong reaction to the album. Nashville's influential AAA station WRLT jumped on the song "Cold Hearted" right away where it has remained in the station¹s top 100 songs of 2001. "Cold Hearted" is also a hit on MP3.com shooting straight to the Top 10 of the International Alternative charts, proving that Kim's Fable's appeal stretches across the globe. Kim's Fable recently won the Audience's Pick for Best Nashville Band on CitySearch.com.
The band is currently in the studio working on their second full length album to be released in the fall of 2004 with famed engineer/producer Roger Moutenot (Lou Reed, Paula Cole, Guster...).

If you don't buy this CD you'd be absolutely crazy. Kim's Fable is one of three bands that we are aware of that are still making REAL MUSIC these days, rather than making strictly ENTERTAINMENT. That's exactly why we represent her online...there is depth, emotion, intelligence and beauty simply oozing from this record. Grab your copy NOW and check out a show BEFORE you have to drop 20 bucks on it at Tower and pay outrageous Ticketmaster fees once this band is signed and famous. You will NOT be disappointed!

The cd has interesting, jazzy middle-eastern music, and Kim's voice is beautiful. The songs are easy to identify with and fun to listen to. Think Tori Amos meets Rachel Sage... Good stuff!
