Album Notes

After the Films, let Music Play!
L'International du Cinéma Hip Hop de Montréal unveils its Compilation-Album.

Montréal, June 24th 2005 - Last May, Montréal hosted its first International du Cinéma Hip Hop. The Film Festival presented movies and docs from all over the world, all using Hip Hop as a vehicle for political, social and artistic messages.
Hip Hop is savouring a global emergence and the Culture knows much success in Canada even if it has yet to receive proper recognition.
Regardless, the country is a basin of talented artists and the Compilation-Album reflects that current.

Like Canada, Hip Hop is a mosaïque of interlaced genres & cultures, creating a unique harmony. It is a General Assembly where artists become delegates of beats, rhymes and words. The Compilation-Album is testament of a musical polygamy.

Its aromas of rap, soul, latin, rock & electro have one commun denominator: a Hip Hop influence. The Album's pan-Canadian & duel language guest list includes Accrophone, Daniel Russo Garrido, Ray Ray, Manchilde, Funfy Filter & Estrella, No Luck Club, Angela Latham, Shadez, Latitude Nord, Clever + Linx, les Buddah Brothers, Sumeet et Nino Malo.

We recommend you toast your listening parties with decadent martinis ... the Album's inside booklet offers Rémy Martin Cognac-based cocktails. Music & Martinis: what better combo for the season's barbecues?
