Kingdaddy, the premier party band of the Carolinas, has been entertaining audiences since 1997. A powerful horn section, soulful bluesy vocals, and a fusion of jazz and R&B create the uniquely appealing sound that is Kingdaddy.

Talent runs deep in this band. Members include a Grammy-nominated artist as well as others who have performed with national recording artists; including but not limited to, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Ray Charles and Harry Connick, Jr. The musicians that comprise Kingdaddy are also songwriters, a top-rated sound engineer, composers, and arrangers.

The versatility of this dynamic band is heard in the variety of their musical styles; and is seen in their live performances. From beach music to oldies, Motown and R&B, rock to ballads, and standards & jazz, Kingdaddy has something for everyone. And, the band’s fan base spans all musical tastes. Grammy award winner, Donna Weiss, comments, “I am somebody who loves Adele, Lady Gaga, and Black Eyed Peas. It’s not often that I find a band that makes me actually want to sit back and listen. I love the big sound of Kingdaddy and the unique velvety voice of the singer.”

The band’s original arrangement of “Georgia on My Mind,” was Kingdaddy’s first digital single released for download. Reviewers have praised the song, stating, “It makes a Georgia-born person very proud.” And, “If you want to be taken back to the best romantic moments you’ve ever had, just listen to Kingdaddy’s ‘Georgia.’”

Kingdaddy’s first beach music single, “She’s the Only One for Me,” has been well-received by seasoned veterans in the Carolina beach music industry. With a sound reminiscent of beach music of the 70’s, this shag song is similar in style to The Embers and The Catalinas, but is kicked up a notch by incorporating the R&B and jazz elements unique to Kingdaddy.
