Album Notes

Features the hit punk single "I Can't Think About You"

Released 2-15-05: The Way It Could Be, the third solo album from King of Swords, which follows Foil The Pundits and I Eat Rock For Breakfast, both albums coming soon also to cdbaby. Mostly uptempo hard rock with catchy singable hooks, lots of guitars, and big vocal arrangements. Also includes the blues-funky "The Situation" and the very unorthodox triphop "Brethren". Bookended by instrumentals (last one is grand piano title track recorded at NRG) this arrangement of songs tells an overall story, and plays out somewhat like a rock opera.

I am a one-man act out of a private studio in my native home of San Francisco. I started piano at age four and today play a wide range of instruments. All songs are completely written, sung, performed, engineered and mixed by yours truly except track 7 which also features a guitar solo by Freddy Clarke (www.freddyclarke.com). Lyrics included.

Latest News: Addy™ award received April 2005 for a composition I did back in July for Sony playstation's new game release Getaway II: Black Monday. The entire album The Way It Could Be is now being featured as of 3/7/05 on Access SF TV, San Francisco Cable channel 29, played during station breaks and for two half hour segments during public service announcements. Track#5 "Make It Happen" is also featured in the current motion picture release "24 Hours On Craigslist" now playing in indie film festivals.

In addition to working on my own material I also consult and produce for hire from time to time. I also compose scored-to-picture music and sound design for film and television. Please send any inquiries via email.

REVIEWS

One of the best kept secrets of SF - but not for long!!!
author: Dan Brown
Someone just passed me the demo in a bar which directed me to this site where I checked out the songs on mp3 and then bought the record. It came to me within a week or so I guess, and I gotta say it hasn't left my car CD player since. This guy is a genius. From throat-wrenching screaming punk to a soft whisper reminiscent of Johnny Cash, this artist clearly shows his fluency with his instruments and his ability to weave musical styles together without becoming a wash. Cleverly written, well performed, and quite decently mixed, I find this CD something that easily appeals to youngsters and old Yes fans alike. I give this album a resounding five stars, and look forward to its success. Give this album a listen and then add it to your collection - you'll be glad you did!
