Ken Kingsbury and Rick English were part of the very successful San Francisco band Acoustic Son. Their new project, Kingsbury/English, combines the commanding vocals and acoustic guitar of Kingsbury, with the lead guitar of English to fashion a modern, powerful folk-rock with American and English influences. Their Acoustic Son music has been heard on local (SF) radio stations including KFOG’s Acoustic Sunrise.

Working with Bonnie Hayes as producer they have released their first CD - Can’t let Go. The latest CD release by KingsburyEnglish, Can’t let Go, is good news for lovers of heartfelt songs in a contemporary blues-rock style. I especially like the respect for, and influences of, the great period of British and American rock – the 1960s and 70s. Ken Kingsbury and Rick English have created an album, far too short at just 40 minutes, with strong, original vocals, impressive lead guitar and unobtrusive arrangements, all of which combine masterfully to create a harmonious combination of mature rock ‘n roll and intelligent lyrics.
