Award winning NW duo team up to produce all new electric CD with "outstanding" (Bill Wax, XM Radio) results.
LynnAnn Hyde has been honored with prestigious artist endorsement from Hohner Harmonicas and Baldoni Accordions, and this CD features seven of her original songs. Stu Kinzel is award winning guitarist and vocalist, and contributes five of his adaptations of Blues Classics with gusto.
CD features the incomparable LILY WILDE on two vocal cuts, and the sultry-smooth vocals of MEGAN JAMES on Hyde's 2002 "BEST SONG" (PMS) award winner "The Northern Town". Beautiful mandolin and Cajun Accordion are featured on two Gulf Coast tribute songs, and Kinzel presents a solo effort on National Steel Guitar that is evocative of Muddy Waters at his best, providing excellent contrast to the full band setting. Production values are top-notch, and the CD has a pure and uncluttered sound.
"Blistering guitar work and vocals from Kinzel raise the hairs on the back of your neck, and Hyde will leave you breathless with her command of harmonica"...(The Review Chick)
Kinzel has been referred to as "the absolute best Slide Guitarist going...with tone other players can only dream of" (Susan Stewart, The Blues Notes) and Hyde has been described as a "tiny harmonica "ACE", proving a woman can play harp" (The Blue Zone).
This CD has been named to countless "TOP 20 Blues Release" lists 2002 by radio programmers all over the world. Three cuts are featured on XM and DMX satellite radio.
This band plays all over the W Coast, but focus is Oregon & WA.

Fantastic, raw roadhouse blues, love the harp and the slide!
author: Stu johnsonFantastic, raw roadhouse blues. LynnAnn on the Harp and Stu on the slide. Never heard of 'em before but my ears pricked up listening to Bluesville-XM Sat. when 'Got My Eye on You' blew me away, nasty nasty blues! Ordered the CD immediately, the rest of tracks are great too. When you comin out East? Visit Detroit!
Great CD everyone should have. WOW!
author: Roy R. KallasA CD everyone should have in their collection. A CD with feelings and soul. Takes you away. Guitar and harmonica playing is supurb.
Way better than it ought to be
author: WolfieThere are a wide variety of blues styling displayed on this disc. Aftr listening to the stuff for about 37 years, I know a little bit about how harp is 'posed to sound. To my ears, LynAnn is as good as either of the Walters or the Sonnies. There is never an extra note and never a note that isnt where it should have been. Stu is a truly impressive guitarman and they can both sing way better than average. This disc is almost always in my music-to-go
Very nice Ameriocan music
author: DanielVery nice American music for all. In my town this music is happy to be received on the music jukebox. Please come to France and play for many of us your live music! Kinzel is slide guitar extraordinaire!
where have these guys been
author: gailI guess I better move to Oregon, that's where the real blues are coming from. what a surprise to hear Yanks do southern music as good as any southerners, thanks for the music.
Roots blues don't get better than this, sit back and listen
author: Bob AndersonThey have done it again with Oklahoma Credit Card. The guitar picking and harmonica blowing are stellar. It's like they are one person. The selection of tunes is just great. I love "I got My Eye on You", cant stop playing it in my head. If it says Kinzel & Hyde on the cover I'm buying.
Great contemporary take on Traditional Blues/Gulf Coast Blues
author: Ben Archeley / NW Roots Project Volume XIIThis recording deserves more press and better marketing. If you are looking for REAL music performed by REAL musicians, this is IT! The artists have a great contemporary take on Traditional music, and many original compositions shine! You will hear Trad. Gulf Coast, W Coast and Chicago Blues on this CD, each song expertly played. Our Roots Project heavily leans toward the promotion of NW artists, and I can think of none who deserve more exposure than Stu Kinzel and "Little" Lynnanne Hyde. Just amazing guitar, voice and the harmonica parts are extraordinary.
Nicely done independent blues music
author: MusicEmissions.comFor a self-done album, Oklahoma Credit Card rivals some of the finest studio recordings ever done. Stu Kinzel and LynnAnn Hyde are from Portland Oregon and play a style of blues that touches a little bit of everything. Their abilities play right off of one another in a way that I haven't seen since Rishell and Raines. Both Hohner Harmonicas and Baldoni Accordions have endorsed LynnAnn. This is quite a feat for a female blues musician. She was also invited to play at BB King's West Coast Women In Blues festival. The album production really shines and Stu and LynnAnn also prove themselves as producers along with Bill Feldman. They trade off their vocal duties from song to song but I feel that it's really Hyde that stands out with her raw and smoky voice. Her harp playing really stands out too. Stu Kinzel's slide guitar playing is very impressive and lends itself to the duo very nicely. The tracks where Stu sings really differ from Hyde's songs. This all adds up to a very dynamic album that shines from beginning note to the end.
Simply magnificent effort and product, a real treat from unknown artists
author: Rex KharzI was sceptical about a husband-wife duo with the wife on harmonica. Needless to say, my worries were totally unfounded. Not only is LynnAnn a great harp player, she writes, sings, arranges and plays several instruments very well. Kinzel is a true master of the slide guitar, and his voice is top-notch. Kinzel plays some searing guitar on sevral cuts, but my favorite is his solo Muddy Tribute. The harmonica-guitar relationship was never stronger than on Can't Lose What You Never Had, and Live High-Spaghetti Western has moments that are nearly scary with the feelings the guitar summons. Simply a magnificent effort and product from two relatively unknown artists out of Portland OR.
"a musician's Blues recording..."
author: Miranda WrightsStu Kinzel & LynnAnn Hyde offer a musician's recording of original and trad selections ranging from Southern Fried boogie-woogie (Gimme Somethin' Fried) to hell-raising slide-(Busy Bootin') with everything in between. This is not a producer's recording, attempting to cash in on what's selling this week. It is a true labor of love, and these two really come up with some unique songs, showcasing their multi-instrumental skills. The concept of a Western-themed Blues song works real well on Live High Spaghetti Western, and the guest vocals by Lily Wilde and Megan James are compelling. The real deal is their fresh approach to age-old subjects, with simply beautiful harmonica, guitar and button accordion. This CD covers all the bases, with great Swing and Rockin-Blues thrown in for good measure, showcasing the extraordinary prowess of Kinzel's guitar and vocals. Hyde's songwriting is superb, and her sultry voice has a command of it's own, only to be complemented by her fat harmonica tone and smokin' harmonica licks. A great CD, available at CDBaby.com!!

"right on the mark..."
author: Greg Johnson..."this is their first all electric CD...they have never been more on the mark...great tandem lines, killer slide and Little walter style harp really cut through...should be on your wish-list for 2002-2003...Megan James and Lily Wilde are excellent..."
