Deanna's reflections:
"I hold a special place in my heart for this recording. It was my first commercial release. It was an honor to record with the great musicians that played at Deanna's many of which were legends in the jazz world. The songs we selected for this release authentically show what it was like to be at Deanna's on any given night."

What I love about this record is how it truly captures a very warm and wonderful club -- one which I spent many nights in ... the beautiful voice, and excellent playing of some of my favorite players (and mentor, Leonard Gaskin) makes this record more than just a collection of tunes. If you love jazz, and love beautiful vocals -- you should love this recording!
