ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This CD is dedicated to the National Kidney Foundation and the Fresenius Dialysis Center of Kutztown, PA.

Pastor Kirk Thompson was raised in Baltimore, Maryland and there he began to sing to the glory of the Lord. From an early age, his late grandmother, Mrs. Daisy Rodgers, would have him practice each day to learn to stay on pitch and to vocalize. His mother, the late Bettye Brock, a singer in her own right, would always encourage him to sing what his heart desired and told him, “Son, God is with your voice.”At the tender age of 8, he, along with his brother and sister formed the Thompson Trio.

The members of his church home at Berea Temple of Seventh-day Adventists challenged Kirk to pursue his passion for music. While a student at Pine Forge Academy (located in Berks County, PA), he helped form the Academy 4 (later the Step Up to Happiness Quartet). They performed throughout this continent singing songs of praise and worship.

Pastor Thompson has been a pastor for 27 years. He has ministered in Willow Grove, PA; Norristown, PA; Teaneck, NJ; Pine Forge, PA; Harrisburg, PA; Washington, DC. and Philadelphia, PA.

Kirk has sung for many churches, rallies, and other various functions. He has sung at the United Nations, Special Olympics, for the Jerry Lewis MD Telethon, and for several charitable events around the country. Kirk is married to Ruth-Ann J. Thompson. Together they have 6 children. He and his wife Ruth-Ann are singers in ministry together.
