I bought the CD at a show at the Underground in WPB in about 98. I fell in love with it! I need a new copy now, as mine's pretty shot. I'm glad to see it's available!
About 5 years after I bought it, I was looking in my brother's cd book and saw that he has it too! He saw AKIAV in another club on a different night and he had to buy it too. I lost mine once in an ex's cd player and didn't have it for 3 years. FINALLY (After telling me he pitched it in the garbage) He was nice enough to return it to me. I can't wait to get a newer copy! I'll be treasuring it for many more years, I'm sure! :)

Some of the best soft stuff I've ever heard.
author: Hector A Parayuelos
I had heard about AKIAV a few years back...they were on some West Palm Beach comp, and I fell in love. I managed to find a few of their songs on the web, but this cd was out of print. I remember clicking on the "notify me when this cd comes in" or whatever button that CDBaby had. 2 weeks ago, I get an email saying it's in, and ordered it immediately. This cd is beautiful...not a comment I give much about cds, but it's the perfect way to describe it. "All you have to do" is definately one of my favorite songs of all times. I hope these guys decide to do another album in the future, I will definately be one of the first to buy it. =]

Refreshingly different haunting yet leaves you wanting more.
author: daveg
I like this album because the sound is so refreshingly different. The first track is a good strong opener, but I kind of got lost with the next several pieces and the lyrics are too faint to be heard sometimes. The latter half of the CD has the better tunes on it, with the highlights being All You Have to Do, Garden Boat, While Danny Sleeps and Brand New Old Cars. Put this in your player and escape to a dreamy nostalgic world that makes you think as well as tap your toes.

Great mood music with soft singing
author: Ulysses Perez on drums and percussion, Home
This CD is fantastic. A great breaker for a party as well as a moody contemplative streak. Lucious mix.
I have to admit my bias, I am the Ulysses Perez on drums and percussion for the CD 'Home' on the A Kite is a Victim page.
I think 'Home' sounds very lush and enveloping.
I can still listen to it after 6 years (came out in '98)and sounds just as good.
And if you like that try out A kite is a victims drummer, engineeer, and producer, Ulysses Perez own solo CDs here on CD baby under Out of the Anonymous.
Very similar in mood aspect to AKIAV's Home, which is an excellent compilation of moods!
