What would you do, if you are in Australia and run out of money without any source of replenishment? What would you do if a fire in your soul tells you where to go and you just cannot resist and follow its directions? The four Berlin youngsters of KiteALike answer these questions without missing a beat: You write a song about it and make it feel like Pulp fiction starring the Beatles on surfboards.
With their fresh pop-ish songwriting, the hammering beats of the city and the fun sound of the sun rising on a new horizon they cover topics from motivational instructions on a james bond poster to long distance relationships, from Berlin rush hour traffic to dancing on a carribean beach. Though KiteALikes music is strongly disliked by Metal lovers, Britney spears fans and people who like manufactured casting stars, Mr. Kite, Johnny Lee, Sean Pepper and Lix Frantix couldn't care less.
The Band was originally founded by Mr. Kite (Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar) and Johnny Lee (Lead Vocals, Bass) in 2010 who then happened to find Lix Frantix (Drums) who was just a walking by stranger. At the same time they stumbled upon Sean Pepper (Lead Guitar) who was just chilling out on the street watching the clouds go by.
First gigs took place at the Junction Bar and other local Clubs. The band recorded their first Demo CD and earned some money by playing at Clubs to finance further recording and equipment. A little while later they started recording their first EP and eventually attended the first round of the Emergenza Band Contest and received several invitations by rock radio and web stations.
The journey hast just begun.
