Where the rootsy sounds of Americana meet old school rhythm and blues melding into a slow, resonant jam of electronics and lush pop. An unusual mix of the acoustic and electronic realms with incisive lyrics as good as you'll find.

"Last Chance Love" has an undertow that keeps drawing you in. But it's an enticing not a scary pull for it provides a meeting ground rare in our time between so many otherwise opposing forces: irony and hope; seeking and finding; the personal and the political; American folk and jazzy, funky world beat; and, most poignantly for me, the hurt of the real and the heart of the dream. A warning, though: it's for you only if you're yearning for something more than common platitudes and facile answers.

His best yet. Subtly arresting lyrics slathered in juicy instrumentals.

I like how his voice and band are evolving. Really honest un processed voice and sentiments. There is an interesting contrast between the dryness of his voice and the lushness of the band. The lyrics make me think, despair and laugh all at once.
