Album Notes

kit rodgers writes songs and sings them. sounds simple, eh?

nothing could be further from the truth. fact is, kit rodgers gives emotion a lyrical voice and his approach to music is anything but simple. from his stripped down acoustic debut cd, "Naked Coffee" to the full out pop follow up, "Some Peculiar Potion", the lyrics are the focus and he makes certain to move you, regardless of the genre' or style.

growing up in shreveport, l.a., helped to develop kit's love of regional folk music. a move to georgia then placed him right in the middle of the diverse atlanta music scene. it was there that he found his true voice. touring extensively as lead vocalist for the alternative rock group, "Clouds Of Magellan", and later as part of the folkpop trio, "Draper, Reynolds & Rodgers", kit developed into a seasoned performer, capable of reaching any audience with his engaging voice and stage presence. he soon struck out on his own, only to gain immediate notoriety as a soloist. since, he has performed in notable listening rooms, festivals and venues all across the eastern united states and has shared the stage with many fine artists, establishing himself as one of thier peers.

with "Some Peculiar Potion", his second release, it's clear that he's not finished marking his path with musical milestones. moving easily from the folk/singer-songwriter genre' of his first release, and bursting full force onto the pop scene, his approach to music has never changed...the lyrics still matter, and he continues to move you.
