Album Notes

Outmusic Award winner Kitty Rose is one tough cowgirl - being out in the world of classic country ain't easy, but once Kitty lets go with that big Patsy-styled voice and nothing else matters. Even Nashville's Music Row Magazine declares "Oh, What a Voice!" She's performed everywhere from top venues opening for folks like Aaron Tippen, the world famous Tootsie's in Nashville, a solo feature at the Bluebird Cafe, to the well-worn path through County fairs and livestock shows. About Live at The Ryman:

While digging through the rubble during the renovation of the Ryman Auditorium back in the early 80's, a worker stumbled upon the long lost recording of WFM’s broadcast of that fateful concert held April 1st, 1972 featuring Miss Kitty Rose. Among her guests that evening was the beloved country jewel, Sandee Saunders. Who knew that only a few days after this appearance, her voice would be forever silenced when she was decapitated in a horrible accident (See www.clubbo.com for details). After a rousing rendition of “Trouble” fueled by Kitty’s usual visit to Tootsies between sets, a drink (reportedly a bourbon, coke and two peanuts) was spilled across the spinning tape reels and all record (and remembrance) of this infamous show were assumed lost to country music history...until now. Wild Affair Productions has painstakingly dried and remastered the tapes and due to the wonders of science, recreated the excitement and impending doom of that fateful evening for your musical pleasure.
