Health to the Company has been sung at many a Renaissance Festival over the years as well as by the Chieftans and Owain Phyfe of Cantiga and New World Renaissance Band fame. When asked to sing a song at a memorial service for Ariana’s uncle, KIVA decided to do this song. Ariana made some changes to the lyrics to fit the circumstance and added other verses from a song that uses the same melody called The Donside Emigrant's Farewell. Thus, a new song was “born” using the “folk process”. KIVA plans to do a whole new version of the song on their upcoming Winter album.
