Ballad of the Mission:
Sweet, smooth country melodies and harmonies are secured with a harvest of Nashville's finest session players, cultivating the true "Nashville Sound" entwined in praise to Jesus in English and Spanish. In mention of a handful of session players for this project, the Karen Johns Band included Mickey Raphael (harmonica player for Willie Nelson), Jim Hoke(multi-instrumentalist for Mark Knopfler, Alan Jackson, Billy Joel, Don Henley, Emmylou Harris, NRBQ, and more); Mark Niemiec (2001 Grammy nominee), and Luis Espaillat(Atlantic Records). Once again, husband and wife songwriting team, Seminary Graduate Karen and James Johns, demonstrate their giftedness to successfully write, arrange,
perform, and produce a variety of styles and genres, and in this project they incorporate the writing talents of other artisans including, Canadian song writer David Gingras;
