Kevin was born on the 5th of February, 1988 in Dunfermline. He started singing at three years old, influenced by his older sister Susan. He sang through school, and was in the school musical group in Kinross, doing three shows and then went on to do Vocal lessons. He then joined stage school where he learned several vocal styles (pop, classical, opera, etc.) and performed several shows and radio showcases. At the same time as this, he was teaching himself to play the piano at home.

He wrote and recorded a number of songs over the next few years, trying out different styles and genres of music. In 2006, he won a competition for best songwriter in Perthshire. He has been gigging since 16, and he has had two residences in central Glasgow night-clubs (ivory Blacks and Studio) and several other venues over Scotland.
