rustic arrangements of Thomas Kugi, and deeply grounded
melodies from Oliver Kent, exciting and soothing at the same
time. Joe Zawinul’s Hippodelphia: A bow to the late great
master. With this piece KL7 brings the spirit of the 60’s into
the present. It’s the energy and the coherence of their music
that characterizes the complete work of KL7.

Some of my favorite bands are stamped with two strong
personalities: Weather Report, Thad Jones & Mel Levis,
Art Farmer & Benny Golson ...I have the honour to lead the
KL7 band together with Oliver, one of the most important
Austrian jazz pianists. We share both the good and
difficult sides of improvising, composing and organizing and
I’m happily surprised with the outcome.
