"Former Calobo co-leader Caleb Klauderâ¦turns out to be aâ¦singer-songwriter with a rich country-flavored voice that sounds like Townes Van Zandt one minute and Doug Sahm the next. His simple (but not simpleminded) honkytonk ditties could easily coax half the bar into that city cowboy shuffling-waltz thing they call dancing these days." â Willamette Week
"Klauder has fashioned a solo debut album that has plenty of his old band's melodic ease and unassuming personability, but also an admirable lean feel and bit of grit." - The Oregonian
"Sings Out (Padre), a beautiful collection of Dylan-esque songs showcasing his rich voice, musical prowess and imaginative lyrics⦔ - Seattle City Search
