What would it sound like if some of the most popular 80’s groups played kids music? What if The Fixx did a song about a hungry monkey demanding bananas or if Falco beckoned kids to dance with their moms and dads? Imagine David Bowie singing about Rocket Boy, instead of Major Tom, blasting off into space!
Singer/songwriter Klaus Ebert has released a CD of original children’s music that will surely please music loving kids and their parents alike. Rocket Boy is a collection of rock/pop oriented songs with children’s themes as lyrics.
With songs such as “Rocket Boy”, “Here Come da Trashtruck”, “Funky Monkey”, “Boo Boo on my Knee”, “Bouncing on the Bed” and “The Rainbow Train”, Klaus taps into subjects that all kids can relate to. The songs are upbeat and danceable, especially “Got to Keep on Dancing”. “Pea Soup” explores the “least favorite food” category, while the song “Ice Cream” should have the kids running to the fridge. Many parents will be familiar with the words to the song “Toddler’s Creed (Mine)”, which is a popular poem put to music. Rounding out the album are “The Sleepy Song” and “Early Morning”, a song that serves as a reminder to treasure the little things and to make every moment count.
Klaus, who now makes his home in Thousand Oaks, CA, has been an active musician and composer since his teens. In the seventies while living in Germany, he toured and recorded with the seminal kraut-rock band “Amon Düül 2”. The band “18 Karat Gold”, which he founded with Jörg Evers and included members Keith Forsey and Lothar Meid, toured and recorded with the German singer Peter Maffay as his back-up band. Klaus also recorded two albums with fellow Amon Düül 2 member Stefan Zauner, who later started the band “Münchener Freiheit”.
Klaus Ebert’s CD Rocket Boy is being released by August Child Records and published by August Child Publishing. Rocket Boy - available now throughout the Milky Way.

My kids love it!
author: Ferlin Short
My kids and I give it an A+. My daughter's favorite is "Got to Keep on Dancing" and my son sings along with "Pea Soup" all the time. Klaus has done a great job writing, playing, and singing music that my kids really connect with.
