Album Notes

Maria DeAngelis and Phil Klein have been collaborating as songwriters for ten years. Both are are active professional artists (Maria, vocals and guitar; Phil, pianist and vocals.) Many of their songs have found their way as background music into soap operas and movies. Recently, Maria made a permanent move with her family to France. Phil continues to play, write music and present shows about musical standards. Our direction in songwriting has been to write for specific occasions, such as weddings, birthdays, Christmas, class reunions and love, with all of its permutations. Some of the songs are humorous, and refer to life situations. Others, such as Baby's First Christmas are directed at children.
The album concludes with a philosophical song revolving around the cliche' "Have a good day." The content's variety is surprising, featuring country, funk, Latin, and other styles. The calibre of the arrangements speaks for itself.

This is definitely a songwriters' album, illustrating the creators' abilities in several genres, related to specific situations and needs.
