Album Notes

The "Kendall Leonard Project" is but a small sampling of the vibrations of the universe as viewed through the eyes of musical genius whose life experience is as vast as the imagination, as complex, as creative, and as mystical as the abyss.

Using instrumentation and arranging techniques quite common to the western ear, Kendall's works lend themselves to those in love, hurt by love, and those seeking that ever illusive serenity and peace that escapes most. With the exception of two tracks, all of the remaining compositions were composed, arranged and performed by Kendall.

As a seasoned musician, Kendall has toured with the best, moving comfortably from one genre to another with ease as he continues to amaze us with his innate ability to create on demand with the hopes of moving the listener to a higher degree of existence through sound. Kendall's touring experiences would include but not limit to; Rick James and the Stone City Band, The Manhattans, Brian McKnight, Stevie Woods, and EBBTIDE. His production credits would include, but not limited to; Mia Miata's Urban Arias, The Choir Boys, Too Intense, Greg Eldridge, Vaughn Mason, and more... Some of the most recent published works would include a movie soundtrack, "SINSITIVITY" released by BlackOut Studios.

When considering the performing arts, one must include the emotion of the spoken word, the liberating movement of the body dripping of perspiration that flows so freely from a performers brow and the time and space consumed by a musical set. To engage in such a plethora of stimuli is to explore the world of Kendall Leonard.

From an early age, the destiny of this spiritual being was clearly defined through the many musical groups that he formed and directed the many scores and arrangements written for various high school and college bands, down to his recent touring experiences with Brian McKnight and Stevie Woods.

Let's take a walk into the world of colors, rhythm and rhyme and we guarantee you too will be pleased with its offerings. The Kendall Leonard Project is in and of itself, a reflection of life experiences translated in sound.

Words can't express the words I have for this project. This is a smooth, perfectly arranged, well-produced masterpiece! Since the release of "Mia Miata's Urban Arias", I followed the Tha Corporation label. I gotta say this..."They create some good sh@*! The Kendall Leonard Project offers a smooth mix of Jazz and Soul. It takes you on a journey far beyond traditional Soul of today and puts you in the mindset of The Great "Al Jarreau". Another one of my favorites.... First they hit you with "Urban Arias" and now "The Kendall Leonard Project"... I see big things happening for these guys!
