Singer / songwriter / musician Bill Kleoppel acquired his love of country music while growing up in a large, farm-oriented family in Independence, Missouri. Though he concentrated on rock and blues early on in his musical career, his country roots lured him back. Working as a construction contractor affords Bill the opportunities to pursue his lifelong passion for music and entertaining. Touring the Midwest with groups and as a solo act, he has long been winning over audiences, performing popular songs and original material, and opening for various major artists such as the Ozark Mountain Daredevils and Chely Wright. No stranger to the Nashville scene, Bill's performing resume' includes stints on Writer's Night in the country music capitol. Bill splits recording time between his own studio in Independence and Trace Sound and Chelsea Music Group in Nashville. A serious award winning songwriter with numerous original tunes written by him and with co-writers, Bill is a lifetime member of the Nashville Songwriters Association, International, as well as having served two years on the Board of Directors for the Kansas City Songwriters Association. Vivid portrayals of longing, love, and everyday life, Bill's songs express the gamut of human emotions. Twelve of these can be heard on his latest CD, "Bill Kleoppel", which is available in various record stores in Nashville and Kansas City, as well as on-line.
