Klint was born and raised in Central Utah. While growing up, Klint would listen to the country music his father would perform in different establishments in town. At age six, Klint and older brother Ty began performing with their dad. Klint remembers learning “Blue Suede Shoes” to sing at a wedding reception when he was eight years old.

Klint’s father bought the first music machine in town. While his father practiced, Klint would sing some of the songs in his father’s collection. He learned “Somebody Done somebody Wrong Song” and sang it at his first contest
at age ten. Klint was very shy but after that experience, he knew that singing was something that he wanted to do and he looked to his father for guidance.
Klint began singing at different places and soon people began recognizing him from other performances. Suddenly he began receiving calls from different organizations to perform at local events for: Fourth of July, County Fairs, and City Celebrations just to name a few. Those annual celebrations were times of anticipation for Klint. He was also asked to perform at wedding receptions, parties, and family reunions. Singing the national anthem at the rodeo was a great honor.
When Klint turned twenty-one, additional performing opportunities opened up. He was asked to sing at many of the local taverns. He became a regular performer at two local lounges. On occasion, Klint still visits and performs at one of them.
As Klint’s confidence as a singer grew, his desire for more “entertainment” in his performances also grew. With some coaxing, Klint enrolled in dance classes and stuck with lessons for two years. With the help of a great instructor, Klint began to gain confidence in his overall performance and was more at ease on stage.
With his personal style emerging, Klint entered another contest in 2004. His contest performance was taped and videos were sent to Nashville, Tennessee, to be viewed by music producers. Klint received a call from one of the contest promoters and was able to go to Nashville and record a CD.
In August 2006, Klint entered another contest. The Helper Idol contest consisted of thirty-four contestants. Of the ten finalists, Klint was chosen for second place.
Klint is still pursuing his dream to become a professional country singer. He continues to perform when and where he can. Klint believes as people enjoy listening to his music, all his hard work is worth while.
