K. Love Bio

Gospel rap artist, song writer and producer, Kendrick Lamont Love A.K.A.
K-Love was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is one of the most prolific and talented gospel rappers on the rise in gospel rap music today. His originality is powerful and soul captivating. Kendrick is looking to take his ministry on a nationwide level reaching and impacting youth and adults, building up believers and planting seeds into the lives of the unsaved.

K-Love first started rapping at the age of 10 looking up to rap legends K.R.S. One, Rakim, Run D.M.C and L.L. Cool J just to name a few. By age 13 Kendrick was entering school and local talent shows coming out on top which allowed him to appear on a local news commercial for a major network, this sparked his interest for becoming a successful rap artist. Through out Kendrick’s high school years he continued to sharpen his skills through many rap battles and contest, not only was he the microphone master, he also loved playing the saxophone and became a major part of his high school jazz, concert and marching band, with the spirit of music in his heart he developed a passion for writing short stories, poems and music lyrics. As a member of two secular rap groups in his lifetime ASU(All Stars United) and G.R. Finest, Kendrick was able to open up for Major artist like Mary J. Blige, L.L.Cool J and P. Diddy.

Being raised with a strong Christian background Kendrick knew that God had bigger plans for his life; he became tired of running from God, so in 1998 he received God’s love. God began to strategically place people in his life who could impart their expertise, wisdom and guidance in such a way that he would mature in the word of God and the ministry that he had been called to, he feels that his purpose is to spread the glory of God to those who are hurting, feeling left out or just weary in well doing. K-Love is currently a faithful member of Renaissance C.O.G.I.C. in Grand Rapids, MI, Where he receives his spiritual guidance from Pastor Dennis J. McMurray and First Lady E. Jean McMurray, and is involved with the youth program.

He especially wants to help the youth obtain knowledge and understand Gods plan for their life by spreading the Gospel in a way that they can relate. “So it is time to edify Christ and stop giving Satan the glory through the messages in today’s music.”
