Album Notes

He's back with a brand new studio album!! Instead of falling between the cracks between albums, K-Maxx stayed connected to the music and the culture, creating his respected radio show "Ghetto Gumbo" on 89.5 FM KPOO (KPOO.com) in San Francisco, CA. This is the legendary station in the Bay Area that first introduced Hip Hop to the area. The show is going strong and showcases artists and talent in the SF Bay Area and nationwide.

During this same time, K-Maxx has remained active and busy producing artists on the west coast, including R&B legend and former lead singer of Tower of Power, Lenny Williams, Too Short and many many more. Instead of following the trends of many mainstream artists today, K-Maxx followed his heart and created what may be one the best examples of genre blending on the market today!

On this project, K-Maxx has created every melody, played every musical note and solo, and sung every note. The only exception, being "This One", a song in which he introduces Ari Nicole, a budding young star. He's also enlisted the talents of dope MC's such as San Francisco's Andre Nickatina, Zumbi of Zion I, Fed-X (Mob Figaz), Young Skitz and Cuba's Mano Negra. This album was made to endure...

Recorded over the last year and a half,
"The Whole Woo Wop" is a slang that means, "all encompasing". This album encompases all the emotions K-Maxx has wrestled with these last couple years, the whole woo wop. This project marks the beginning of a new chapter for K-Maxx.

Please take the time, and enjoy the journey with him!

I used to live in the Bay, so I had a copy of "Still Rollin'" back in the day. My buddy stole it so, I came here to get a copy of it and saw that K-Maxx has a new CD!! I always felt that he was underrated in the bay scene, and I'm happy to hear the new album! The snippets don't do it justice! This album has deep lyrics, nice guest appearances, and soulful beats/arrangements. Not to mention, he's playing all the instruments, every note and created all the music! It's like he's gotten even better! I see his old CD "Still Rollin'" is one of the top sellers on CD Baby. I highly recommend anyone who has purchased that CD to definitely pick up this one. Or buy both if you don't have either!
