Album Notes

Kyle Meadows has been performing music for most of his life. He specializes in instrumental Celtic, Appalachian and Old-Time music, and has recently been accepted into the Kentucky Arts Council Performing Artists Directory.
Born in North Carolina and raised mostly in South Carolina, he began playing piano at age five and his first public appearance was at the age of ten. He has played a variety of instruments including the banjo, mandolin, lap dulcimer, pennywhistle, harmonica and the hammered dulcimer, which is now his primary instrument. He has performed on the hammered dulcimer full-time for sixteen years, and is now, finally, almost self-taught. In that time he has produced five recordings and has performed for many different audiences at a huge variety of venues. He now lives in Cold Spring, Kentucky with his wife, son and 44 free-range chickens. (He always wipes his feet before performances.)
