Album Notes

The Knightsmen are a 60's band in the truest sense. These eight musicians were one of the original Indiana garage bands that actually began playing together in high school in the mid 1960's. The band specialized in songs by the Beatles, Rascals, Wilson Pickett, Sam & Dave, Mitch Ryder, Cream and more.

Being named the winners of the Battle of the Bands in Indianapolis during the summer of 1968, highlighted the early years of the band. In late 1998, they reunited and began playing throughout Indiana and neighboring states, specializing in 1960's rock classics.

The most notable band member is Karl Hinkle who performed with the Wright Brothers for 10 years on national television and locations throughout the United States. After reviewing a video tape of a recent "Knightsmen" event, Scott "Records" Roddy of the Indianapolis oldies radio station WGLD 104.5 stated: "You guys really rock!!" "I'm really impressed."
