notes

Super Simple Songs 2 is the follow up to the award-winning, you guessed it, Super Simple Songs.

The second CD keeps true to the goal of the original CD and offers some remakes of some classic children's songs and also some fun new originals.

Originally created for children learning English as a Second/Foreign Language, Super Simple Songs have proven popular with native-English speaking youngsters who respond to the simple, easy-to-learn lyrics and playful melodies. Super Simple Songs is ideal for infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, and young primary schoolers. At home, or in the car, its a great way for kids to follow up on basic skills they are learning in kindergarten-counting, shapes, parts of the body, weather, etc.

Like the first CD, teachers will find the songs easy to use in class. They are made with one goal in mind-for young children to be able to sing and/or move to. This means that there is plenty of room for gestures, getting up and dancing, or even sitting quietly and trying some finger plays.

The second CD includes even more songs that are perfect for circle time activities-both quiet and active. For more difficult songs, we have included learning versions that are great for very young learners, ESL, or special education classes. It even has songs that help introduce children's games such as Hide and Seek or activities like Mystery Box.

As teachers of very young children, we have found it very difficult, if not impossible to find educational, interesting, and useable songs suitable for this age group. This is what lead to the creation of these CDs and it is perhaps the most unique thing about it --it can be seen and heard on every track. Super Simple Songs and Super Simple Songs 2 are made by teachers-not children's performers (though we love them) , not pop artists (we love them too), not even a big corporate entity (we ummmm....). We hope this fact speaks for itself and that your children find as much enjoyment in these songs as our students have!!

I feel so happy after I recieved the CD. It's simple and easy to learn. And I shared for other teachers, they all like it very much.

  • Great CD for Teaching

As a teacher of young students with autism, I love this CD. My students respond well to music, and we use it as a cue to call kids to the table, during activities, for clean up, etc. The slower pace of the songs makes it easier for my kids to learn. The practice and learn features are great!

  • This is just what I was looking for!

I purchased Super Simple Songs and Super Simple Songs 2 and I love them both. Just like the first CD there are songs that have the slower version and then a faster version. This special feature allows the children in my class the time to hear and learn the words to the song before introducing the faster paced version.

  • Good Fun!

My preschool aged students loved the first one so we were really excited for #2, and it hasn't disappointed. They really love Hide and Seek and Rock, Scissors, Paper. Great teaching songs...well done!
