ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Its' hard to accomplish a success story in the rap game with all of the competition, but Buck has what it takes to get to the next level. After a challenging childhood in a suburban Landover neighborhood, and sometimes depending on himself to make it day to day, the rapper known as Sean Lawrence followed his confident instincts by rapping from the heart. Born and raised in Maryland, in a city known as Landover, Buck underwent some tough times after his father passed away in 1981, and his mother being injured in a car accident two (2) years later leaving her paralyzed. Without family support, Sean became a self supportive youth, turning to his friends where he soon made a name for himself as a ruffcore rapper. Known as "King Sean" in his neighborhood, Sean and his friends formed a rap group called "Triple Crown" and MAD. In the summer of 1993, the rap group had and audition with the WU-TANG CLAN in Staten Island, New York. In the following summer in 1994, the rap group opened up for the late TUPAC SHAKUR and LORDS OF THE UNDERGROUND at Bowie State University. The rap group went on to do talent shows and showcases at local D.C. clubs. The group broke up in 1995, and at that time Sean started his solo career using his childhood nickname "Buck" given by his godfather. "Kognac" was added because Hennessy was being poured at the time for a complete artist. "My Life Story" is based on my trials and tribulations of life, death, losing loved ones, emotions, the skills of telling stories and street tales. The album is being dedicated to his father, Eugene Vernon Lawrence. Creativity is the most important thing in the world of music, so check him out.
