HIS RHYTHMIC HIP HOP STYLE AND HIS STACCATO REGGAE FLOW GIVE HIM A UNIQUE SWAG THAT COMPARES TO NONE.
Kollosus, given name Kirk Young, was born in Jamaica and moved to America as a young teen. This timely transition in cultures offered him what has proven to be the best of both worlds in music, arts and entertainment. His rhythmic hip hop style and his staccato reggae flow give him a unique swag that compares to none. This combina- tion makes him an excellent artist for the international market. Kollosus has strong work ethic, determination and strives for perfection. To quote him, “I have always been willing to do what needed to be done to be on top of eve- rything I do, and I have set the mode to be on top of the music game. Right now, where I sit, I cannot see anything but sunshine and clear skies. Relax and take notes.”
Currently, Kollosus is an independent artist working with Gary “DJ Caesah” DaCosta of Soundproof Records in partnership with KBM “Known Busi- ness Men”, Kollosus’ own company. Kollosus’ new single Foreign, which
features Future, is currently ripping the clubs and airwaves in the southeast. Foreign is a colossal leap from Kollo- sus’ first major feature, which was on “What Is It” starring Rick Ross and Gorilla Zoe, and solidifies his position as the next major player in hip hop. Kollosus is well respected in the indus- try and has contributions from some supreme artists and producers includ- ing, but not limited to; “Setting Stan- dards”(feat Gucci Mane), “Swing”(feat Travis Porter), “One Day”(feat Rock City), “Cash Out”(feat Young Scooter), Cool and Dre, DJ Toomp, Drumma Boy, Zytoven, F.L. Y., Young Jeezy, and Gorilla Zoe.
