Thoughtful songs touched with dark humor, subtly hooky contemporary folk/pop. Frequent comparisons range from James Taylor and Paul Simon to Bruce Cockburn, David Gray, Lyle Lovett, and Richard Buckner.
BIOGRAPHY:
Variety has been the spice of my musical life: I played in high school rock bands, got interested in jazz and classical music, studied both in college, got a Master's degree in music composition, played in the NYC improv/electronic scene and produced music festivals in the early 90s, formed a virtual band-Dogs Gone Fishing-on MP3.com, turned it into a non-virtual duo that performed around the Long Island, NY area, played and recorded in electronic improv trio Crippled Symmetry with Joseph Benzola and John Asta, moved to Maine; now performing in the Portland area as a solo singer/songwriter, and with the Maine Songwriters Assoc. Community Outreach program at hospitals, shelters, etc.
Working on a new CD due in late spring/early summer
