A BESTIARY - Beasts of the Farm
Words, Music and Linocuts by Bonnie Koloc.
First nationally recognized as a gifted singer/songwriter, Bonnie Koloc is becoming well known as a visual artist.
Now Bonnie combines both gifts in A Bestiary, a series of linoleum block prints depicting thirteen farm animals, with a poem and musical setting for each presented on CD. Since 1996 Bonnie has performed the songs from A Bestiary in concert and at her one-woman art exhibits to enthusiastic response from people of all ages and backgrounds.
Previously available only in a limited boxed edition at a price only libraries and private collectors could afford, this handsome trade edition (8 1/2 x 10 inch soft cover book) has a CD inside the back cover.
A Bestiary was awarded Best in Show, Iowa State Fair Art Salon, 1996.
From Bonnie: This piece is very close to my heart. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed doing it. It has taken eight years to get this trade edition done. Any age can enjoy it, but it makes an especially nice present for a child. If you like it, please tell your friends. Thanks.

Great, For All Ages
author: Bill DavisI first hear BONNIE KOLOC: A Bestiary - Beasts of the Farm on Public Radio / XM radio replay I think. I drove down the road bouncing between Joyful Silence and Laughing out loud. What a mix of musical roots. All that joy and no one to share it with at that moment. The song Don't Buy a Goat, was in my head until I could buy the CD for my Grandson. Upon arrival from CDbaby.com, My wife and I stopped our day, cut open the binder and played the CD together. I just Posted My Grandson's 7th Birthday gift today.
Great gift!.
author: Judy DeMottGreat gift for our daughter with 3 young kids that love farm animals.
Simple, sophisticated, timeless music.
author: Kate MasseyFirst heard songs from this CD on Minnesota Public Radio's "Morning Show." I was struck by the simply-drawn, yet beautifully timeless, vision of animals and by Bonnie's voice and the fine music accompanying her. The woodcuts in the book, then, are a bonus! For children, the sophistication of the music is a great antidote to much that is out there for them. For adults, we recognize this as good stuff. Bought five copies for friends and family near and far.
BOOK LOOKS GREAT, CD FOR GRANDSON, SO HAVEN'T HEARD
author: WFHMY WIFE AND I WERE REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE BOOK, AND WE HEARD SOME OF THE CD ON WGN RADIO, CHICAGO, ON RICK KOGEN'S SUNDAY MORNING SHOW. WHAT WE HEARD INDUCED US TO BY THE PACKAGE. RATED IT 4 STARS JUST BECAUSE WE WILL NOT HEAR THE CD UNTIL OUR GRANDSON'S BIRTHDAY, BUT IF EVERYTHING IS AS WE HEARD ON THE RADIO AND SAW IN THE BOOK, WE'D UPGRADE TO 5 STARS IN A MINUTE. WE SAW BONNIE KOLAC AT COLLEGE OF DUPAGE SEVERAL YEARS AGO, AND WERE FANS OF HERS BEFORE THEN. YOU SHOULD HAVE MORE OF HER ON YOUR SITE!
Another fine effort from one of the most talented artists of our time....Bonnie'
