Album Notes

Konniption Fit's "Ballistic" features 12 songs of fun, upbeat Pop Punk sharpened to a razors edge with Modern Rock. Stylistically, the songs on "Ballistic" run the gamut of styles and influences, from the sounds of a riveting racehorse riot to moments of harmonic texture and melodicism, all coming together as a whole which can only be described as uniquely Konniption Fit. Catchy, lush harmonies and melodies are contrasted with the roar of Marshall-driven guitars, sledgehammer drums and tight, pulsing bass lines, causing the listener to want to sing along and slam dance all at the same time. Lyrically, "Ballistic" approaches a variety of song topics with a bit of humor, sarcasm and bite. Songs like "Antimatter", "Erase" and "Catnip" challenge the typical relationship song model with a sense of realism, depth and a modern day view of life. Angst and sarcasm are spit forth in "Rush Hour", explaining the reasons for the common traffic jam. Like a karma-fueled dragster racing with technical precision, the ladies man gets what he finally deserves when crossing the wrong girl in "Self-Destruct". "Ballistic" has a song for everyone and will leave the listener craving another taste with an insatiable hunger waiting to be filled.
