\"Songs For Koolkidz\" is a winner of a Parents\' Choice Approved Award! Great for grades K-6!

Musicskool Records is a new independent label dedicated to making age-appropriate and parent-friendly children\'s music and videos. In 2001, we launched our label with the release of SONGS FOR KOOLKIDZ™. At this time, our products are available through our \"Songs for Koolkidz\" website, at CDBaby, at our live shows and at local stores in NYC. However, we are currently looking forward to reaching a larger and more diverse audience through worldwide distribution.

KOOLKIDZ™ originated as a vocal performance group made up of 6 multi-ethnic boys and girls ages 10–12 taking piano, guitar and voice lessons at Fort Greene Music Scene in Brooklyn, NY. While working on their first album, SONGS FOR KOOLKIDZ™ the students learned the art of recording and performance. Their CD and Music Videos are filled with inspirational messages and positive lyrics. The KOOLKIDZ™ concept has found it\'s way into schools and local communities bringing children together through song and dance. We would like to see more KOOLKIDZ™ across the country! The original KOOLKIDZ™ performed together for five years. They have performed at Peace Day 2000 in Boston, Mass; at the Million Mom March in Washington, DC on Mother\'s Day, 2000, and in Brooklyn. NY on Mother\'s day 2001; the World March of Women 2000 at the United Nations Plaza; at the \"Week Against Violence\" sponsored by Million Mom March and the YWCA; at a fundraising event for A.I.D.S. research at the Ethical Culture Society; at the conference for \"Uniting for Racial Justice\" at Hunter College, NYC and at the Jacob Javits Center for Kwanzaa Fest 2001.

The KOOLKIDZ™ were a must-see, performing live at local Brooklyn events such as: \"7th Heaven\" street festival in Park Slope; Fulton Art Fair, and the International African Arts Festival in Bed Stuy; and of course on their own home turf in Fort Greene Park at all the family events. A great show for both children and adults! You can also catch the KOOLKIDZ™ on BCAT cable shows such as \"Brooklyn Review\" and \"Access Kids Power\", as well as Channel Thirteen\'s \"ZOOM\".

The SONGS FOR KOOLKIDZ™ album has received radio airplay on WWRL and WBAI in NYC, including a live show featuring the KOOLKIDZ™ performing live on the air. The KOOLKIDZ™ have proudly performed in three music videos of songs featured on the album, being aired weekly on BCAT. These wonderful music videos are available on DVD. In 2005, a new KOOLKIDZ performance group was formed. Dubbed “KOOLKIDZ TWO”, they are a new crop of talented singers, rappers and dancers who have successfully performed many shows all over New York and New Jersey. Look out for KOOLKIDZ TWO!!!! For bookings and more info, log onto our website!

2006 KOOLKIDZ AUDITIONS!
Looking for talented girls and boys, ages 7 to 11. All ethnicities encouraged! Must be able to sing and dance. Previous training/experience not necessary, but natural talent is a must! Kidz will learn how to rehearse, record and perform live on stage while singing positive, original, age-appropriate songs from the KOOLKIDZ CD!
Must be physically fit/active, work well with others and maintain good grades in school. Must be available for weekly rehearsals in Brooklyn, NY and scheduled shows. Some traveling involved. Parents must participate in transportation and expenses, but there is no fee to join. This is a wonderful experience for your child. Call us or email us to schedule your audition!
