Album Notes

Kori's new CD is called "Brighter Side". With all songs written, arranged and mixed by Kori and as co-producer, she was able to incorporate her diverse talents and love for all aspects of creating music into the making of this CD.

Kori says "The piano brings out a different songwriter in me than the guitar does, so I find I write two slightly different styles of song depending on the instrument I'm using."

As the title Brighter Side would suggest, all of the songs, even the ones about loss or change look at the positive side of moving on from bad relationships, choosing to learn and choosing love. She says, "Hopefully one day I'll get it all right. In the meantime, I'll keep learning and writing. I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I do."

Excellent CD. I love listening to it. It has it all: great lyrics, memorable tunes, and fantastic instrumentation. It's hard to say which are my favorites, because they're all so good, but I think if I had to choose, it would be "Show Me Your Love" and "Moment of Truth".

I love it, my kids love it, this is a great CD. "We Begin" is an awesome tune but my favourite is "Home Again". There's an interesting blend of styles on this CD - I was reminded of The Beatles once, Mary Chapin Carpenter once - and the result is an enjoyable mix of music from beginning to end.
