Lo-cal

The best kept secret out of Greenevers! No longer on the hush, Calvin "lo-cal" Dixon releases his debut album entitled "It's K-OTIC" July 2004. The talented NC native has plans to take the game by storm with his unique style and eyebrow raising punch lines. Don't be fooled by his calm, laid back demeanor because once onstage he brings a level of energy unparalleled. For almost five years, he's been moving crowds with his energetic performances. The future of hip-hop, "lo-cal" graces the world with his thought provoking debut album that will prove his keep.

He was introduced to hip-hop by his cousin Duice. Since that day he has been a huge fan. From the first time he picked up a pad and pen, "lo-cal" knew hip-hop was his passion and hasn't looked back since. He released his first EP December 2003 entitled "K-OTIC Entertainment Presents: lo-cal" and has caught the attention of listeners all over the nation. He has performed at "Local 506" in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Lo-cal also opened for the 2nd Annual Comedy Showcase in front of a sell out crowd. The success of his first project has inspired him to embark on greater challenges. Making power moves, "Lo-cal" is definitely out to make history!

Duice

When you think of producers, Kirim McGee a.k.a. "Duice" is one who should not be overlooked. Duice has a style unlike any other producer in the game. One could go on and on about how incredible his beats sound, but you would definitely have to find out for yourself. Words can't explain how crazy his beats bang out once you've pressed play on your cd player. He produced every track on "lo-cal's" EP and LP respectively. Most mc's seek different producers to give their album more flavor. Duice is what you would call a one-stop shop. If you haven't heard a track produced by Duice then you haven't heard sh%# !

Duice is also a native of Greenevers, North Carolina. He has been a fan of hip-hop for almost 15 years. As a kid you could find Duice listening to old records for hours. From the classic sounds of Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Earth Wind and Fire to Sugar Hill Gang, Run DMC, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh and many more. His strong passion for music has influenced him to produce music of his own. From the first time he touched a beat machine Duice has produced beats that have created a name for himself. He is sought out by many of the local mc's.
