DAWN OF THE KRAKAN is the rap album that many fans have always dreamed would be made. This is rap music for the rest of us. Those of us who aren’t gangsters yet don’t fall into the category of backpack rap lovers. This is rap for all of us who go through our daily struggles and believe somehow we’ll still come out on top. This isn’t THUG MOTIVATION, this is HUMAN MOTIVATION.
Best part, is the music is Hot! And yes, this is music, not a hodgepodge of sounds slapped together to hopefully create something cohesive. This is heartfelt music. Lyrically, The Krakan is unfathomably adept. Such great lyrics can’t go unnoticed. The Krakan doesn’t do punch lines; rather he smacks you with heart stirring words. You’ll feel this.
The Krakan represents the common man. You see yourself in him, yet revere him. His candor illuminates your inner struggles and constant pain. His voice releases that pain.
Apart from writing his own lyrics, The Krakan produces all his tracks himself. The depth of his musical influences can be heard in his broad production style. He incorporates rock, electronic as well as good ol’ Hip Hop tracks in his formidable musical medley. The ferocity of his rap style raises the adrenalin of the most placid individual. His more somber tracks inspire deep thought in the most shallow
He’s been compared mostly to DMX but counts METHOD MAN as his primary reason for jumping into rap. Although he had been a rap fan for a while, it was when he heard Method Man’s ‘Bring Da Pain’ that he knew this was what he wanted to do.
The Krakan lurks within New York’s underground scene marching to the beat of his own drum raising his cache’ everyday.
Many of his new found fans actually say they don’t listen to rap anymore or never listened in the first place, but they love what he does. It’s not just rap, it’s good music.
Hence the sound of that drum is certainly getting louder, and after listening to his debut album “Dawn of the Krakan” it’s easy to believe that he might just become, as he claims, ‘Rap’s Overlord’.
All Hail The Krakan!
