Album Notes

"Arnie Krakowsky plays a cultural history in a way
that is too seldom practiced,he restores the time
and feeling of the era,the feel of where the music
should be,and the way the tenor saxophone should
sound!This is a detail others vastly overlook,and
in his hands he evokes conditions under which jazz
and art were made."

My newest CD "Is It Minor Yours"is enormously
satisfying and inspiring,it contains a bonanza of
excellant supporting musicians and serious
documentation of some beautiful jazz standards.I
know you'll enjoy it!!!!!

REVIEWS

Arnie swings his glutei maximi off!!!
author: Chris von Volborth
It's amazing that many of the indie jazz CDs listed on CDBABY are so much better than the commercial pablum offered to the public by the majors. Arnie's CD is a swinging eye opener for all those who think that jazz is dead. His sidemen are absolutely world class, the tune selection inspiring, and Arnie's playing..well, just plain swings like a mutha!!! This CD is money well spent!!!

Masterful!
author: Bill Kerrigan
This is a top notch jazz CD. What an excellent selection of songs with outstanding sax work! Check out tracks 6 and 8, in particular. Krakowsky's smooth sax is complemented by an ensemble of masterful musicians who blend together seamlessly (check out track 9). I've owned it for less than 2 weeks, and have already enjoyed listening to it numerous times. Highly recommended!
