Album Notes

John Krane of Cat, Jump! presents his first official solo album, a largely acoustic affair that is raw, melodic and at times humorous, blending alt-country and bright indie pop for an engaging experience. Cat, Jump! guests on three tracks.

John's band had released a thrilling concept album last year to the delight of the St. Louis music scene, and here he focuses on building an album with a brittle, dark mood that still holds enough hope to keep listeners uplifted again and again. Following a brief tour and set of St. Louis shows promoting the album, he will join Cat, Jump! in the studio to record a new, harder album that will explore the opposite side of what Flight represents.

His Flight CD is a great choice for anyone looking for a mellow experience with heart and indie soul; it is the sound of a man calm before an oncoming storm.

REVIEWS

Quirky and unusual. Enjoyable album with a laid back feel.

This album grows on you with each listen. The lyrics are unusual and grab your attention and the voice seems to suit the laid back mood of the album (it almost sounds as if the singer has a slight cold). The musical backing is minimal for the most part but again suits the mood.
