notes
Kris Racer is the aptly named solo project of one Kris Narunatvanich, a singer/songwriter from Chicago who plays upbeat acoustic pop-punk with a highly energetic show. His new 9-song record, "Time Spent on Airplanes" is being independently released on Adobo Records this July 2004. In support of the new songs, he will be touring the west coast from 8/14 - 8/22. Although currently a regular at Chicago's Uncommon Ground coffeehouse, he has played and traveled on the Asians in Rock (AIR) tour with indie acts, Jenny Choi (Doublezero Records), Panda Panda and Chiyoko.
Prior to his relocation to Chicago, Kris fronted the Cleveland pop-punk band, Tagline, acting as the primary singer/guitarist. During the two year existence of the band, Kris and Tagline released 2 records, played numerous venues, such as: the Euclid Tavern, Blind Lemon and Grog Shop, and opened for well known emo/punk bands such as: Brandtson, Pinehurst Kids, the Berlin Project, the Movielife and Autopilot Off.
His musical style, which has drawn comparisons to Dashboard Confessional and earlier Saves the Day, is up-front and melodic. And with heart-in-his-hand singing and fall-off-his-chair emotion, Kris Racer relates to an audience through candid comments about his relationships, personal struggles and seesaw time spent in offices, on stages and on airplanes.

Clean, crisp sound.
author: Rajeev RaghavanThis CD has some catchy tunes that have a way of getting stuck in your head. Hudson River Parkway is a fresh track that should get plenty of airplay.
