Album Notes
A heartwarming collection of songs that will bring back memories for many, this album not only features some popular favorites such as "His Eye Is On The Sparrow", and "In The Garden", but also a few new tunes with a warm acoustic feel that will uplift the soul from all walks of life. Recorded in Nashville, Tennessee with some of the best musicians in the business.

“In early 2004, I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, and my world was forever changed. My husband Niel and I had three small children, and I was overcome with doubt and fear. During the trials that followed, God showed me how much I needed His presence in my life every day. I cried out to Him for all of my needs, and He lifted every burden, and allowed me to live with His peace. Even in my darkest moments, God provided me comfort through music. The songs on this album are just a few of many songs that became dear to me. The last song was left unwritten many months ago, until I finished it on Valentines Day for my husband. It only seemed fitting to include it with the other songs. His love and support helped me through the darkest days of my life. He is such a blessing! Today, my health has been restored, and my prayer is that through this endeavor, God will bring “the peace that passeth all understanding” to those in need.”

A Living Prayer
This is my second attempt at reviewing this - I'm not sure if I am doing it right, but this collection of songs is wonderful and Krissa and the band do an exceptional job. Sweet, refreshing, uplifting, relaxing and warm are
a few adjectives I would use.

A Living Prayer
Truly a living prayer. I ordered 2 CDs, one for me and one for my dear friend fighting the good fight against cancer. I know this lovely music will help her load to be lightened. Karissa's voice is so clear and pure....beautiful and theraputic. PG in Dallas

An Outstanding Collection of Great Songs
The past few years have brought us quite a few hymns projects from many different kinds of musicians, but few of them manage to capture the essence of the spirit and the message that the writers of these songs wanted to convey quite as well as Krissa Somero has done on this CD. These mostly acoustic arrangements are very tastefully executed, and compliment Krissa's vocals very well. While most of these arrangements are fairly traditional, they still manage to sound contemporary, and are quite refreshing and uplifting. The CD ends with a wonderful love song, "I Thank God for You", written by the artist herself, which is one of the best love songs I've heard in quite a while. I believe you will enjoy, and be blessed by this music, no matter where you are in your spiritual journey. Be sure to give it a listen!

Marilyn Dallas

This is truly a very special CD. I am recovering from surgery and cry every time that I play it. It is wonderfully uplifting and healing. Thanks

An affirmation of faith, life, and love, this album is one woman's response to a life-changing experience and the quest for hope and deliverance that it produced. Many of these songs will be familiar to some, but this particular take on them will most likely be original and unique. Backed by a top notch, primarily acoustic band, Somero's vocals float over top of these soft bluegrass-y tracks with ease and confidence. Her knack for making the songs seem effortlessly powerful certainly rubs off on her musicians. Fiddle, Dobro, Mandolin, and keys are all incorporated into the sound, which resonates with a flavor that is appropriately traditional on the surface, but never old fashioned. With hints of pop and country, the tracks are widely accessible and mellow enough to suit any mood or occasion. The album ends with "I Thank God For You" a track penned by the artist that is humble, heartwarming, and sums up the album as a whole with a personal honesty that is refreshing and elegant.
